So many things in our lives are pretty smelly!
We have 2 dogs...They can be really smelly. Smelly when they are wet-When they relieve themselves from any build up of gas in the house-Of course their doo doo-They have stinky smelly breath-Dogs are just kinda of smelly!
Children! THEY SMELL SO SMELLY! They take one step outside, when they come back in...They stink! They have smelly toots-Smelly breath-smelly hair*Even after washing with shampoo 3 times*! Their shoes are crazy smelly-Their bedrooms...You go in and you can smell it-but you can't see it! You search and search but can't find it...Until you move things around! Than you find what was causing that smell...Eewww! 'You get it..no You get it!!' Yuppers...We also find missing utensils *Forks & Spoons*!
Now! We have all the kids potty trained-ALL BUT ONE! Champion-So let me tell you...Or maybe I won't...just envision how bad it is! Stubborn kid...HE Stinks! He will be going to kindergarten in Pull-Ups...Yup! And he sucks his thumb too-O well!
Football player boyz...Their is no smell in this world quite like the smell of a Football Player! I refuse to touch our sons jerzies. They have to take them off of their pads and place them in the washer...I am sorry but I know if I touch them my hands will turn black and fuzzy! I feel the same about batting gloves...O my GOODNESS! Those things smell. Cassandra has had the same pair of batting gloves and glove...well since forever...Yikes! I wore her glove just one time...I can still smell that Smell that comes with Baseball/Softball gloves. I try to avoid sharing gloves with the kids!
How about those smelly Attitudes-You know the kind that you want to take a can of Lysol, spray the kids all over from top to bottom-and Poof! That smelly attitude is gone! We don't deal to much with this, but we still deal with this! Silly Smelly-Tudes!
Hows about the smelly smells of the house! Smelly kitchen *especially when someone puts a stinky diaper in the Kitchen trash instead of outside...* Or the horrible smell of burnt food...*Like I ever burn anything* Burnt Popcorn*so stinky*. Smelly carpet because you have the 2 dogs and Children! Bathrooms...I don't even have to go there because Everyone already knows!!
The Laundry room-There is a wet towel at the bottom of the basket that it takes a couple of days to get to because for some reason I can't ever get passed the top! That is an awful smell!
Smelly Bills! Smelly yard work! Smelly Housework! Smelly Chores! Smelly appointments! Smelly School schedule! Smelly Homework-Book Reports-Speeches-Meetings-Science Projects-You know what I am saying!
Hows about the Smelly aging process! It is pretty smelly! Diabetes is really smelly...And all the meds and things that come with that disease is SMELLY! I guess I could probably add a few other Smelly things but I want to focus now on the Smell Goods!
The dogs-We love them like family! And when they have a bath and are all dry...I love petting them! I love that if I have had a bad day, some how-Both these dogs know...They will come lay at my feet and Lady will put her head on my legs and just look at me! Good dogs...And Lady is my running buddy..well she used to be-She is getting pretty old and slow now! She doesn't want to go as much.
The children...There are not any words to express how much I enjoy their Smelliness! My kids are healthy and active! I am thankful every day for each of the kids. They are learning and so are we-So glad we can work together on all the Smelly stuff *Attitudes and all*! Even Champ-I am thankful he is here and safe and as normal as he can be...We are fortunate! Even if he is going to be in Pull-Ups FOREVER!!
I am thankful for the food that I 'Don't Burn'...We eat and have a job! I am thankful for bills-It usually means we have something that we use or need(don't get me wrong...Bills stink, but for the most part, I don't mind paying them)Again-We have a job! I love our Yard and I surely love the feeling I get when the yard is all clean and you can smell the sweet smells of just having the grass cut! I do not like school-But I like watching and seeing my kids improve, work hard, and be successful! The social part is tough...Our kids aren't popular so they have to deal with some Smelly social issues, but for the most part...It always works out to where there is at least one person who makes them smile. Thankful for teachers that treat the kids like they want to see them every day! School CAN be a positive place and should be! Laundry-So thankful we have clothes and a place to clean them to keep them nice-And a job!
Aging does stink-It comes with aches and pains! Medication-Gray hair-wrinkles*are the worst*-You kinda start to move a little bit slower-the kids are starting to beat me at the track-Losing loved ones-But you know what!! I also know that my children are getting older and I have LOVED watching them grow!! I am excited for the phase we are about to enter with our oldest-Not with her leaving to go to school...But the fact that she is about to start a life of her own! I can't wait to be there for her. I look forward to Grandbabies*Not for a few years yet Sass*-and getting to spoil babies without guilt! So Aging is tough but...Doable! Sit back and just enjoy the ride!!
There isn't a whole lot of positive stuff about Diabetes...The Adorable One is the one who has to deal with this more than I do. I do struggle watching Michael suffer with this...At least there are medications that can help keep things under control! Well...I have to say...Michael had me give him a couple of his shots yesterday *IN THE BUTT* and that made me giggle a little! But you know...It actually wasn't as fun as I thought it was going to be to get to STAB him with a needle *especially in the be-hind*-It really does break my heart and worry me that he has to do this until he gets everything under control-It least it CAN be kept under control! So Diabetes is still SMELLY though!
There are a tons of Smell goods in our life! We should always count our blessings...One thing that I know for sure...I will miss the smells of having children around!
Enjoy the Smells in your life!
Smiling :O)
