The other day, I had gone to the Post Office and saw 2 boxes full of
apples. Both boxes had a little note taped on it saying 'Free'....I had
grabbed one box...Than went ahead and grabbed the other box. Feeling
Guilty-I did think about leaving the other box for someone else, but
what if nobody else was going to take the apples-They would just go to
waste. So I took both boxes home and the kids *especially the little
boys* thought it was Christmas or something. We hadn't bought apples in a
couple of weeks, so it was just nice to have some apples around. So, I
have to say Thank You to whom ever took the time to pick the apples and
place them down at the post office. The green apples are gone and boy
were they good! Thank you!!
That same day, in the mail...I had
received a pink envelope that had a little note, a Troll doll with crazy
red hair, and a key chain with the Brigham City Temple on it. The note
was short and sweet just enough to really warm my heart n get me all
teary eyed...Thank you Tonia, my crazy sister, for taking the time to
send that to me...It meant a lot to me.
On the Adorable Ones
Birthday, he was invited to go have some lunch with a couple of his co
workers. They took him to one place that he didn't want to go to...He
Sat in the truck and was kinda throwing a fit because he really didn't
want to go there that day. The co worker finally got him to go
inside...When they got inside-There was a bunch of co workers and
employees there to surprise him! Michael is pretty hard to
surprise...They got him good this year. He loves jerky, so they got him a
bag of every kind from his favorite Jerky place in Provo Utah. They
also had a sign made for him that says 'The Adorable One' with 2 smiley
faces on it! Thank you guys for taking the time to make my Husband feel
so good and cared for. He smiled for days after just thinking about how
he sat in the truck with his arms folded like a little child not getting
his way!! Stubborn man! :O)
When Bobcat's Football team had their
first game of this season, they won!! First game in 3 years...The
'GLOW' that came off of that field was awesome! Lots of effort and hard
work paid off...That win may have changed that team of 'Little Men' for
the rest of their football playing years...I will be surprised if they
ever forget that first win! They went on to win their second game as
well...Amazing what a simple win can do. Thank you Boys for working as a
team...And I am sure the parents would agree with me...Thank you boys
for making us so proud! And a Thank You to the coach who has had to have
some serious patience these last 3 years...
Our oldest daughter
wasn't going to play Volleyball this year. We kind of told her she could
not play, felt she needed to focus on Softball. Well, the coach and
some of the volleyball players-Along with her Uncle-had been bugging
Sass to play, telling her that they needed her and that its her senior
year and she should do it all. That sparked some confidence in Sass and
lit a fire in her-She finally told us the week before the first game
that she wanted to play...Really Bad! So, being that it is her Senior
year...We said go ahead! I went to watch
her play...And She is a started and is pretty darn good! I couldn't
help but feel a bit of regret of ever telling her she shouldn't play!
She loves it and is having a really good time-It will be her last time
to be a Sultan Volleyball player, so Good For Her!! Thank you so much to
all those who kept on her...telling her and encouraging her to play!
She just better not get injured :O)
Our Jessi came home one
day, so very happy *she is always happy...But this day, she was REALLY
Happy!* She had told me that her teacher told her that she has really
improved this year. She really built up Jessica's self esteem-Just with a
few simple words! Thank you so much to that teacher that took the time
to say 'Positive' things that made our daughter who has struggled since
kindergarten to have confidence at school! It has made a difference!
In
July I received a couple of messages regarding our Oldest son. I was
extremely worried at first, because you never know what your child is
doing when you are not around to keep them in line. Both the messages
told me how thankful they were that Justin helped them with their yard,
and that he is such a hard worker. One even went on to tell me what an
amazing young man we have and that we must be very proud. Of course,
these ladies have no idea how much their words meant to me. It is always
nice to hear Positive things. Thank you!! For taking the time to write
to me a Short n Simple message! Made me feel like I haven't completely
failed as a parent.
This Morning, our Tator
Tot spilled his milk and he came in and told me... 'Mom, I spilt my
milk!' He than looked at me with those little hazel eyes of his and said
'I so sorry Mom! I so sorry!' Just the look on his face while saying
'Sorry' of course made the mess that much easier to clean. A simple look
and a simple word...Thank you Tator Tot for being so sweet.
